The Head Stage 2 ball is softer, larger and 50% slower than standard tennis balls, giving the child more time to react and making it much easier to hit the ball. Designed for play on a small ITF court (18 m x 5.6-2.83 m). In addition, the porange-yellow colour makes it easier to spot. Approved by the ITF, the ball is part of the Head Tennis Instruction Program (STAGE).

Working with the ITF (International Tennis Federation) as part of the "Tennis...Play and Stay" campaign, Head has developed a new T.I.P. (Tennis Instruction Programme) - an innovative system supporting the learning of tennis. According to the T.I.P. principles, a beginner player should serve, hit confidently and score points during their very first lesson, which thus becomes a positive and encouraging introduction to further learning. The T.I.P. programme supports this concept by providing rackets and balls suited to every stage of learning to play tennis.
