PADEL
The origin and popularity of padel
Padel is a fairly young game and not everyone has heard of it yet. It comes from Mexico, but has gained the greatest popularity in southern Spain. Several million people living on the Iberian Peninsula have already fallen in love with Padel. Among the Spaniards, it is the second most popular discipline after football. The name itself comes from the word paddle, i.e. a paddle similar to the shape of a racket.
What is padel and what are rules of padel?
Padel combines tennis and squash. It is less technically demanding than tennis and requires much less fitness than squash. This sport is suitable for everyone, regardless of age. Four-year-old children and eighty-year-old seniors play Padel. It is a great form of fun and a way of spending free time with family or friends. At the same time, it improves the physical and mental condition. It strengthens your heart, reduces stress and produces happiness hormones. It is safe and very rarely causes injuries. There are many more advantages to be mentioned, but let's get down to business.
What does a Padel game look like? We need two pairs of players and a 10 by 20 meter court. The back walls of the court and some of the side surfaces should be made of glass, while the rest of the court may be fenced with a net. The rules and scoring are similar to tennis, with the difference that the ball can bounce off the walls of the fence, and there are no outs. This affects the length of exchanges, and points are earned through strategy, not strength.
What do you need to play padel?
We need rackets and balls to play Padel. However, if we play purely for recreational purposes, we can choose tennis balls for fun. If we become seriously interested in paddle, it is worth buying professional balls with slightly different parameters.

Which padel racket is best for you?
There are padel rackets for sale for beginners, intermediate players and for professional players. Each racket model has its own unique characteristics, such as shape, weight, balance, length and material. The most important thing about a padel racket is the shape that influences its properties the most. There are three racket designs to choose from: diamond, teardrop and circle.
The novice player should choose a circle-shaped padel racket that is the most forgiving and allows for better shot control. The teardrop shape is designed for players of all skill levels. Such a racket is universal and provides the perfect balance between power and control. The diamond is the choice of professional athletes who put a lot of strength into the game and, thanks to their technique, improve the control of strikes.
Weight is an equally important parameter. A lighter racket gives more freedom of manoeuvre, while the greater the weight, the stronger the impact. Another important feature of padel rackets is the material from which they are made. The most expensive and also the most solid solution is carbon fibre. Fiberglass is a less durable and cheaper material. Padel equipment is not the cheapest, but it is an investment in a huge dose of positive sports emotions and your own health.
Which padel shoes to choose?
Appropriate footwear is an indispensable element of any sport, including paddle. In this discipline, the desired features are stability and flexibility. Shoes must provide excellent grip during the game and guarantee safety and comfort of use. They should sufficiently absorb the shocks generated during dynamic play in order to protect the joints and muscles from overload. In Strefa Tenisa (Padel tab) you will find playing shoes that meet all of the above requirements. We offer you top-class footwear models from various companies (including Asics, Bullapadel, Lotto).
