The third iteration of the iconic Vapor Pro model brings refinements and innovations introduced by Nike engineers based on suggestions from both professional and amateur tennis players. The much-appreciated exceptional lightness of the shoe has been preserved, allowing quick movement around the court while improving foot support during lightning-fast turns and comfort during all-day wear. The upper construction made of durable mesh guarantees excellent breathability. A flexible rubber overlay around the toe box and the most abrasion-prone lateral, inner area increases durability. Removing rubber from zones less prone to wear keeps the shoe's weight to a minimum. A tongue partially integrated with the inner sock and a full strap in the midfoot area, which allows tighter lacing, provide an improved fit and hold the foot even more stably during sudden changes of direction. The ZOOM AIR gas pod placed in the midsole offers very good cushioning with excellent step responsiveness. Additionally, reducing the size of the pod improved flexibility and traction in the forefoot, facilitating natural bending during push-off and maximising rebound dynamics. The special CLAYBREAKER outsole tread, designed with consideration of pressure maps and analysis of the areas where the most clay accumulates, provides excellent traction on clay courts and limits clogging of debris.
