The third edition of the iconic Vapor Pro model brings improvements and innovations introduced by Nike engineers based on suggestions from both professional and amateur tennis players. The much-appreciated exceptional lightness of the shoe has been preserved, allowing quick movement around the court, while enhancing the level of foot support during rapid turns and comfort during all-day wear. The upper construction made of durable mesh guarantees excellent breathability. The flexible rubber overlay around the toe box and the most abrasion-prone inner side area increases durability. Removing rubber from less wear-prone zones reduces the shoe's weight to a minimum. The tongue, partially integrated with the inner sock structure, and the full midfoot strap, which enables a tighter lace pull, provide an improved fit and hold the foot even more stably during sudden changes of direction. The ZOOM AIR gas pod placed in the midsole offers very good cushioning with excellent step responsiveness. Additionally, reducing the size of the pod improved the flexibility and traction of the forefoot, facilitating natural bending during push-off and maximising rebound dynamics. The special CLAYBREAKER outsole tread, designed with consideration of pressure maps and analysis of areas where the most clay accumulates, provides excellent grip on clay courts and reduces against scale adhesion.
