The third edition of the iconic Vapor Pro model brings improvements and innovations introduced by Nike's engineers based on suggestions from both professional and amateur tennis players. The exceptionally lightweight construction of the shoe, so highly valued for allowing quick movement around the court, has been preserved, while enhancing the level of foot support during rapid turns and comfort during all-day wear. The upper construction made from durable mesh guarantees excellent breathability. The flexible rubber overlay around the toe box and the most abrasion-prone lateral, inner area increases durability. Removing rubber from zones less exposed to wear reduces the shoe's weight to a minimum. The tongue, partially integrated with the inner sock, along with a full strap across the midfoot, which enables a tighter lacing, provide an improved fit and hold the foot even more securely during sudden direction changes. The ZOOM AIR gas pod located in the midsole offers very good cushioning with excellent step responsiveness. Additionally, reducing the size of the pod has improved the flexibility and grip of the forefoot, facilitating natural bending during push-off and maximising rebound dynamics. Due to the tread pattern, the all-purpose outsole does not limit the ability to slide on hard surfaces.
