Women's T-shirt
T-shirt originally meant a lightweight, short-sleeved, always worn as an undershirt. The T-shirt evolved from an undergarment used in the 19th century, and in the mid-20th century it transformed from an undergarment to a general everyday garment and is now worn as the only item of clothing on the upper half of the body. Traditionally, it has short sleeves and a round neckline, without a collar and gets its name from its very shape, resembling the letter T.
What is the difference between a t-shirt and a tee shirt?
The inconsistent spelling of a tee shirt can cause confusion, what is it called after all? Is it a tee shirt or a T-shirt? How do they differ? Basically - nothing! Tee shirt and T-shirt are two variants of the same name. T-shirt is the prevailing version. Tee shirt appears less frequently, but you can also find it at our place.
Is there an ideal tee shirt for tennis?
Most of us spend more time in a tee shirt than in any other item of clothing. On the tennis court, too, it is very often the basis of an outfit - complete with a skirt, leggings or tennis shorts. In fact, the tennis t-shirt is so common that the art of t-shirt matching doesn't quite get the attention it deserves. Below we make up for this oversight:
Length: This is one of the most important parameters. Service, woley, drive - if you raise your shoulders, the t-shirt will go up a lot. Choose a length that you are comfortable with.
Shoulders: The fit at the shoulders is the easiest way to tell if the jersey fits well. The seam along the shoulders should reach from the middle of the shoulder to the top. Sleeve length - this is again a matter of individuality, depending on how much you want to show off your biceps.
Cut: The shirt should not be too loose, as it will hang awkwardly and make you look shapeless. A t-shirt that is too tight can be a bit challenging and restrict your movements. Slim fit t-shirts are best for those who want a sporty, figure-enhancing fit. We also offer plenty of tennis t-shirts with a simple, classic cut. Keep in mind that t-shirt sizes vary from brand to brand, so make sure you choose the right size for you, or just drop by any of our stores and try on a t-shirt!
Material: There are many materials to choose from, starting with organic cotton which is soft, strong and breathable. You can consider cotton blends with artificial fibers or artificial fibers alone, which are lightweight, won't crumple and won't absorb sweat; try shirts created with VAPORTEX or Dri-Fit technology.
