History of Fila
Fila was founded in 1911 in Italy and produced equipment and clothing (mainly underwear) exclusively for alpinists. 12 years since its opening, Fila has become a brand that is now known throughout Italy.
An important step in the company's development came in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when a partnership was established with designer Enrik Frachey and later with tennis player Björn Borg. The first began designing professional clothing for alpinists and tennis players, while the second, wearing Fila clothing triumphed at Wimbledon. It was in Fila clothing that Reinhold Messner - the legendary alpinist and himalayist - conquered Mount Evertest in 1986.
In 2007, the company changed its location and moved to South Korea. It is now managed by Yoon-Soo Yoon and produces sports accessories for women, men and children.
