History of Lotto

The Lotto brand was founded in 1973 in the shoe district of the small town of Montebelluna, in the province of Treviso, Italy. The Caberlotto family's company started by producing sports shoes. The first launch was tennis shoes, followed by the production of basketball, volleyball, running and football shoes. Within a short time, Lotto's product range also expanded to include sportswear.

From the beginning, the company's name has been associated with an iconic logo - a tennis court superimposed on a football pitch, combined with a passion for sport, respect and fair play still reflect the character of Lotto today.

Brand development

Within the first 10 years of development, Lotto becomes a leader in the sports industry and the tennis world. A proactive commitment to innovation and a relentless pursuit of excellence leads to Lotto's continued success. Prominent Australian tennis player John Newcombe triumphs in Grand Slam tournaments playing in Lotto-branded shoes.

In the 1980s, the company begins to produce football shoes and reaches more than 60 countries around the world. Lotto begins to combine innovation with tradition. High attention to detail and an emphasis on beauty in design is now the manufacturer's standard.

The 1990s bring further great sporting success for the Lotto brand and their athletes. Martina Navratilova, who dominated women's tennis, wins Wimbledon again in 1990 wearing Lotto tennis shoes and clothing. In 1994, AC Milan wins the European and Italian Championships in Lotto clothing. A year later, Thomas Muster triumphs at Roland Garros.

The following years bring more and more success for Lotto on the world courts. In 2010, Italian Francesca Schiavone wins Roland Garros and 3 years later Marion Bartoli wins the title at Wimbledon. Further victories by David Ferrer and Agnieszka Radwanska make the brand constantly visible on the world's most important courts.
