The Puma brand is a German sportswear, footwear and accessories company that was founded in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler. Dassler had previously collaborated with his brother Adolf, who founded the Adidas brand.

In 1974, Puma launched its first tennis shoe model, the Puma Match. These shoes became very popular due to their unique design and comfort.
