The twelfth update of the iconic Air Zoom Vapor footwear line was carried out based on feedback from both professional and amateur players, as well as data on shoe wear patterns, using Holger Rune as an example. The model delivers even greater lightness and dynamic movement while maintaining high comfort and the excellent stability seen previously. The improved, high-density mesh upper provides very good breathability, and reinforcements made of cast polyurethane in key zones protect the areas most exposed to abrasion on the inner side and around the toes without increasing the weight of the shoe. A solid plate surrounding the midfoot area supports the foot superbly, ensuring confidence during sudden slides, turns, and changes of direction. An inner sock up to mid-upper height improves the level of fit, further stabilising the foot laterally. The use of the renowned Zoom Air gas cushion under the heel provides the highest level of cushioning with rebound dynamics and springiness for the next step. Due to the tread profile, the outsole with a universal purpose does not limit the ability to slide on hard surfaces, and its split construction additionally helps reduce the weight of the shoe.
