The history of Tecnifibre

More than 40 years of activity have given the brand recognition and a strong position in the tennis and squash equipment market. The origins of the Tecnifibre brand date back to 1979, when innovative tennis strings made from polyurethane were launched. In 1985, stringing machines were added to the brand's range. Thanks to them, 2 years later Tecnifibre became the official stringer of the Roland Garros tournament. In 1988, the company strengthened its partnership with the French Tennis Federation and for the next 10 years supplied balls for the French Open Grand Slam tournament.

Brand growth

In 2001, Tecnifibre launches its first squash racquet, which was used by former number 1 ranking player Thierry Lincou. Following its success in the squash market, Tecnifibre enters the tennis market with two racquet models for players: T-Fight and T-Flash. The first well-known player to play with a Tecnifibre racquet was Fernando Verdasco, Janko Tipsarević joined next. Tecnifibre became the official brand and sponsor of the ATP World Tour organisation in 2013. It was also the official stringer of the ATP World Tour Finals tournament until the end of the 2020 season. Tecnifibre offers top quality tennis equipment. The range includes tennis racquets, squash racquets, tennis bags, strings, apparel and accessories.
