The beginnings of Mizuno

The founding of the Mizuno company dates back to 1906, when two brothers, Rihachi and Rizo, opened a sporting goods shop in Osaka, but baseball accessories received the most attention. A little later, the brand began to grow through which it initiated the production of its own baseball and also golf articles.

After baseball and golf, Mizuno also decided to enter the running shoe market, which in retrospect proved to be a great success, as the company is still highly regarded among amateur runners today. The production of footwear has become a key component of the brand's business, which now supplies equipment for athletes in a variety of sports - from football to volleyball, handball to tennis.

The development of the Mizuno brand has focused on improving the functionality of the shoes and using the latest technology.

Successful athletes wearing Mizuno shoes

Milestones in the history of the entire company were the achievements of Mizuno shoe-wearing Carl Lewis - the 1988 Seoul Olympics and winning the gold medal, and the 1991 World Athletics Championships, when the American became the world's fastest man by breaking the 100 metres record with a time of 9.86 seconds.

These were not the only athletic achievements of athletes associated with Mizuno, for at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, as many as 28 athletes using the Japanese company's products won medals. It was even better at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, when Mizuno clothing could be seen on the podium 72 times.

Continuous growth of the company

The enormous success of the Japanese brand is related to the gigantic amount of work put into development and technology. Many specialists and scientists are constantly working on new solutions. The sukcesu achieved by athletes in many disciplines that put stress on the ankle joints indicates the company's priority, which is the perfect profiling of its footwear. The company's other products, such as t-shirts, shorts and sweatshirts made from the highest quality materials, should not be overlooked.

Tennis athletes associated with Mizuno

Mizuno has been associated with a great many tennis athletes from many sports. The most well-known are:

• Magdalena Frech
• Robert Farah
• Marcos Baghdatis
• Ivo Karlović
• Lorenzo Sonego
• Joe Salisbury
• Philipp Kohlschreiber
