The third instalment of the iconic Vapor Pro model brings refinements and innovations introduced by Nike engineers based on suggestions from both professional and amateur tennis players. The much-appreciated exceptional lightness of the shoes has been retained, allowing quick movement around the court, while simultaneously improving the level of foot support during lightning-fast changes of direction and comfort during all-day wear. The upper construction made of durable mesh guarantees excellent breathability. The flexible rubber overlay around the toe box and the most abrasion-prone lateral, medial area increases durability. Removing rubber from less wear-prone zones keeps the shoe's weight to a minimum. The tongue featuring a partially integrated inner sock structure, along with a full midfoot strap that allows for a tighter lace pull, provide an improved fit and hold the foot even more securely during sudden changes of direction. The ZOOM AIR gas pod placed in the midsole offers very good cushioning with excellent step responsiveness. Additionally, reducing the size of the pod improved the flexibility and traction of the forefoot, facilitating natural bending during push-off and maximising rebound dynamics. Given the tread pattern, the all-court outsole does not limit sliding capabilities on hard surfaces.
