The third edition of the iconic Vapor Pro model brings the refinements and innovations introduced by Nike engineers based on suggestions from both professional and amateur tennis players. The exceptional lightness of the shoe, which allows quick movement around the court, has been retained, while simultaneously improving the level of foot support during lightning-fast turns and the comfort during all-day wear. The upper construction made of durable mesh guarantees excellent breathability. The flexible rubber overlay around the toe box and the side, inner area most exposed to abrasion increases durability. Removing rubber from areas less prone to wear keeps the weight of the shoe to a minimum. The tongue featuring a partially integrated construction with the inner sock and the full midfoot strap, which enables a tighter lace pull, provide an improved fit and hold the foot even more securely during sudden changes of direction. The ZOOM AIR gas pod placed in the midsole offers very good cushioning with excellent step responsiveness. Additionally, reducing the size of the pod improved the flexibility and grip of the forefoot, which facilitates natural bending during push-off and maximises rebound dynamics. Due to the tread profile, the outsole with universal purpose does not limit the ability to slide on various surfaces.
