The third iteration of the iconic Vapor Pro model brings improvements and innovations introduced by Nike engineers based on suggestions from both professional and amateur tennis players. The much-appreciated exceptional lightness of the shoes has been retained, allowing for quick movement around the court, while simultaneously enhancing the level of foot support during rapid turns and the comfort of wearing them all day long. The upper construction made of durable mesh guarantees excellent breathability. The flexible rubber overlay around the toe box and the most abrasion-prone lateral inner area increases durability. Removing rubber from areas less exposed to wear reduces the weight of the shoes to a minimum. The tongue with a structure partially integrated with the inner sleeve and the full strap in the midfoot area, which enables a tighter lacing, provide an improved fit and hold the foot even more stably during sudden changes of direction. The ZOOM AIR gas cushion placed in the midsole offers very good cushioning with excellent step responsiveness. Additionally, reducing the size of the cushion improved the flexibility and grip of the forefoot, facilitating natural bending during push-off and maximising rebound dynamics. Due to the tread profile, the outsole with a universal purpose does not limit the possibility of slides on different surfaces.
