The third edition of the iconic Vapor Pro model brings improvements and innovations introduced by Nike engineers based on suggestions from both professional and amateur tennis players. The much-appreciated exceptional lightness of the shoes has been retained, allowing quick movement around the court while enhancing the level of foot support during lightning-fast turns and comfort during all-day wear. The upper construction made of durable mesh guarantees excellent breathability. The flexible rubber overlay around the toe box and the most abrasion-prone lateral, inner area increases durability. Removing rubber from zones less exposed to wear reduces the weight of the shoes to a minimum. The tongue featuring a partially integrated construction with the inner sleeve, along with a full strap in the midfoot area that allows for a tighter lace pull, provide an improved fit and hold the foot even more securely during sudden changes of direction. The ZOOM AIR gas cushion placed in the midsole offers very good cushioning with excellent step responsiveness. Additionally, reducing the size of the cushion improved the flexibility and grip of the forefoot, making natural bending easier during push-off and maximising rebound dynamics. Due to the tread profile, the outsole with a universal purpose does not limit the ability to slide on hard surfaces.
