The third iteration of the iconic Vapor Pro model brings refinements and innovations introduced by Nike engineers based on suggestions from both professional and amateur tennis players. The much-appreciated exceptional lightness of the shoe has been retained, allowing for quick movement around the court, while simultaneously improving the level of foot support during lightning-fast turns and comfort during all-day wear. The upper construction made of durable mesh guarantees excellent breathability. A flexible rubber overlay around the toe box and the most abrasion-prone lateral and medial areas increases durability. Removing rubber from zones less susceptible to wear minimises the shoe's weight. A tongue with a structure partially integrated with the inner sleeve, together with a full strap across the midfoot area, which enables a tighter lace pull, provide an improved fit and hold the foot even more securely during sudden changes of direction. The ZOOM AIR gas pod placed in the midsole offers very good cushioning with excellent step responsiveness. Additionally, reducing the size of the pod has improved the flexibility and grip of the forefoot, facilitating natural bending during push-off and maximising rebound dynamics. Due to the tread profile, the outsole with a universal purpose does not limit the possibility of slides on hard surfaces.
